Resignations were accepted from Samantha Walton as Assistant High School Girls Soccer Coach and from Mike Peters as an Assistant High School Track Coach.

Emmanuel Sarikie was approved as the Assistant High School Girls Soccer Coach.

Theresa Scott was approved for the 4-hour cafeteria position.

Irene O’Shaughnessy was approved for the Remedial Teacher Aide/Nova Net position at the High School. This is the position that she previously held last year.

The ECA coaching positions of Kevin Wirsch as Baseball Head Coach, David Brown as Softball Head Coach, and Brian Graham as Golf Coach were approved.

The Board of School Trustees wanted to express their appreciation to the Regional Foundation for their contribution of $20,000 to continue the AC/DC program for the 2010-2011 school year. The School Board feels this is a worthy program in handling student discipline and steps are being taken to find funding for the 2011-2012 school year.

The red S-10 Pick-up and the old Band Bus that do not run were declared junk.

The transfer tuition for the 2010-2011 school year was set at $0 as it was last year but any transfer student will have to meet specified qualifications.

Book fees for the 2010-2011 were approved as follows:

Ms. Holland reported to the Board that ISTEP scores were up as compared to the previous year. Ms. Holland commented that we may be seeing some of the results of the work that has occurred over the past few years in curriculum. She also reported that the State is in the process of aligning the State standards with 47 other states. This process is still in the very early stages.

The committee of the Navy Bean Festival was granted use of the school parking lots but must leave access to the fuel tanks.

The 403(b) agreement with Valic was approved.

The Superintendent was granted permission to advertise for milk, bread and fuel with bids to be presented at the August meeting.

A tentative date of September 2, 2010 has been set for the 2011 Budget Hearing at 7:00 P.M. The Budget will be adopted at the regular September meeting.

Because of some misinformation, Mr. Patz wanted to stress that the Summer Band Program has not been cut for the next school year.
